Iraqi court at once personal secretary to execute Saddam Hussein's right-hand man, Abid Hamid Mahmud. "He was executed today," said Haidar al-Saadi, a spokesman for the Ministry of law and justice, as reported by AFP on Thursday (7/6).
Mahmud is the fourth list of Iraqi officials targeted by U.S. forces after the invasion of the country in 2003, after Saddam and his two sons, Uday and Qusay.
Saddam was captured on June 16, 2003 and executed on December 31, 2006 along with former prime minister Tareq Aziz and former interior minister Saadun Shaker because of violence done to Shiite Muslims during the 1980s.
In addition, Mahmud also took part at war with Iran and Iraq massacre Shia leaders.
